Fishing

We went fishing today. We have a big lake about twenty miles from our house that is stocked with fish. We only stayed for about an hour, but Lizzy liked it. I only caught one medium sized trout. Last time i caught three blue gill. I will take Lizzy again later, because she wants to go again.

Sea World

We went to California for Memorial Day weekend. It was so much fun! We drove to Anaheim on Friday after work after Dave got out early. He was going to take the day off, but found out that they would get out early so he went for the partial day. It was a fun drive. Lizzy was awake almost all the way there. She finally fell asleep at 10:00 pm and we arrived at Dave's dads house at 11:30. Of course she woke up again and was quite anti-social. It was kinda funny. :)
We went to Sea World, but along the way, we went to the San Diego temple because Dave's sister Rachel was there because she was the maid of honor for a wedding. After seeing Rachel, we went to Sea World.
At Sea World, we saw every show and Lizzy loved it. She squealed several times because she loved it so much. She didn't like the sea lions, because she said, "they scare me." Dave got stung by a bee.
The next day we went to church at Dave's Dad's church and then went to dinner at Dave's aunt Donna and Uncle Brett's house.
We left the next day at about noon and drove home. It was fun.

Butter

Lizzy was still hungry after her breakfast this morning so she decided to help herself while I was in the shower.

There it is! YUCK! She said it was so yummy though. She said, "It's tastes like sugar!" Ugh, just yuck!

It's a big girl bed!

We have been wanting to get Lizzy into a big girl bed for a while now, so I've been searching the Internet for deals. I found out that beds are expensive! All I could seem to find were ugly, worn 20-30+ year old beds for about $200! I couldn't believe it! And it's not like they were nice looking antiques, most looked like 2x4's nailed together. Not cute for a little girl's room.

Anyways, we were at Walmart one night, they have this bed there that Dave and I both like but didn't want to pay that much for it. That night is was on sale! We got the last one they had and set it up that night for Lizzy. She loves it! And Dave loves that she comes in and wakes us up on Saturday. (Lizzy is really sneaky in the mornings and just comes and stares at me on my side of the bed til I wake up. A bit surprising if you don't expect it.)

"Ummy gummy"

This is Lizzy the Monday morning singing her "Ummy gummy" song. She made it up all on her own! I just love it! I give her a chewy vitamin everyday. At first she didn't like them, but I turned that around when I started calling them her "yummy gummies." Now, she loves them!

Our trip to Utah

Dave had to go to his mandatory 30 day drill at the end of April. Lizzy and I went with him and made a mini vacation out of it! It worked out perfectly that my cousin was getting married the following Friday and that my parents flew in on Thursday!

The drill was help up at Snowbird. The army paid for our room and our meals and we had some great seminars! (and some not so great seminars.) Michelle and Steve watched Lizzy for us that weekend, it was so nice to get away and have some adult conversation.

Thinking that it would be warm while we were there, we packed some summer clothes and no coats. It was freezing! It snowed in the mountains everyday we were there! LOVED IT! It was so pretty! (Secretly, well, not so secretly, I was hoping for an avalanche. Wouldn't that be fun?!?!)

Dave flew home on Sunday, and Lizzy and I went and stayed with my in-laws for a few days.

Lizzy and I shopped (IKEA! Lizzy's favorite store), played, visited family and friends, went to the wedding...etc...etc...

It was a fun trip! I enjoyed our little get-a-way.
