Dave will be home bright and early Friday morning! We are so SO excited to have our family together again! Here's a look at the start of our life in the Army, Dave's basic training graduation. That seems like so long ago now.

Humor
Lizzy has quite the sense of humor. Lately she been doing silly things and then asking me to take a picture of her doing them. Here are a couple of examples. (She has a bit of a cold, that's why under her nose is all red.)
She put some panties on her head and thought it was so funny!
In this one, she pulled her pants up really high and stuck out her tummy. It was so funny, but you cant see it in this pic. She started laughing and her pants fell down a bit.

Great Quote!
"We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth and power ... But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us.”
(ABRAHAM LINCOLN, proclamation appointing a National Fast Day, March 30, 1863)
I think it's interesting how Abe Lincoln thought we were "there" in 1863. I wonder what he'd think of where we are now.
Thanks to Jenn for posting it first and letting me borrow it.

Grizzlies Game
Last night I went to a Grizzlies hockey game in SLC with my friends. It was so much fun! Nicky and Michelle work at the physical therapy office that treats the team and so they have a box suite there. And Dylan, Michelle's nephew got to ride the Zamboni between the 2ND and 3rd period. I was so jealous! Dylan was so nice about it, he was going to let me have the ride because he knew I wanted to go. That kid is going to be a heart breaker when he gets older.
Lizzy, of course, was a being a daddy stealer as well as a boyfriend stealer! She would just move around from boy to boy. She was so flirty! She would walk by and rub their hair and snuggle with them. We were standing in line to get ice cream, Lizzy turned to the guy behind us and reached out for him (I didn't let her go to a complete stranger!) when I wouldn't let her go, she started smiling at him and waving and just being so so flirty! I couldn't believe it! It was so funny. They guy got a kick out of it.
We all had so much fun, even though we lost. 6-1. Ouch.
This is what Spencer looks like when he sees me. :)

Dinner
In January, I went to a "Military Wives Appreciation Dinner" in SLC with Sarah and her mother in law, Laura. It was so nice! Lizzy was at the sitters, (Thanks Steve and Chelle) and I was all dressed up and going out with adults! It was already going to be a great night no matter what would have transpired.
Sarah and I
The food was great, the entertainment was good, (they had a string quartet of little kids. So cute) the desserts were delicious and the company was so fun! It was a nice evening. Major General Tarbet spoke, as did his wife, and a few others. It was a nice program.
We had a lucky table. Lucky, because we had nice people to talk with and lucky because we won prizes! When we first arrived, they handed out raffle tickets, and 3/6 people at our table were drawn and I think there were only 5-6 prizes! I left dinner with tickets to a Grizzlies game! (Thanks Sarah for giving those up)A good time was had by all!
