2 Identical blessings!

20 weeks

I had another ultrasound today and the Dr. said she's 99% sure that I'm having identical girls! (There's always a chance that it may not be, no matter how slight, I guess.) We are so excited! Since we found out about the twins, we worried about them being identical for fear that we wouldn't be able to tell them apart when they are so little. Now, we are beyond thrilled! Lizzy is so happy to be having 2 baby sisters! She always asks about them (if they're hungry or moving lots etc...)and wants to buy them clothes already. She's so sweet.

And here's something interesting I heard today:

Only 1.9% of the worlds population are twins.

and

Only 0.2% of the worlds population are identical twins!

The girls look great! Baby A is weighing in at 10 ounces and Baby B is weighing in at 11 ounces. We are still undecided about names, we are narrowing them down. Slowly...

The girls were so active during the ultrasound that they couldn't get any really clear shots. It was so funny to watch, the nurse and the Dr. kept laughing!

Pregnancy update

I am now 18 weeks pregnant and things seem to be going great! The kids are kicking and moving all the time. I've gotten huge this week! At least I feel huge, I'm measuring 6 months already! 6 months! My Dr said that is completely normal with twins. He figures, from the ultrasound pics, that the kids are weighing in at about 6 oz each. We're still not 100% on if they are identical or fraternal, I'm hoping to find out for sure at my next appt.

Sleeping alone

Dave fell asleep on the living room floor while watching tv one night, and Lizzy thought he looked

lonely. She gave him her babies to sleep with and then took a picture of it! She's so funny.

WE ARE HAVING TWINS!

We found out today we are having twins! And they are pretty sure they are both girls, but not 100% sure. The umbilical cords kept getting in the way. We are all so excited about this!

Lizzy is extra excited about having 2 baby sisters instead of just 1. When she found out we were going to Carl's Jr. for lunch and as soon as we walked in, she shouted, "We're having twins!" To the whole restaurant. She's so funny.

The babies looks great! They are growing just as they should be, they have all their arms and legs. Their brains and hearts and all the other organs looked good too! We are just so happy and excited about having 2 babies!
