Potty Training

Potty training is going pretty well so far. She did great her first week! Really, amazingly well. Lizzy loved to go potty on the toilet! Really, she went a whole day without an accident and she woke up from her nap completely dry! Amazing! Then we had a day that we were going to be gone most of the day so I took the lazy route and put her in a diaper. I KNOW! I was holding back my own child's progress, but I really had a lot of errands to run. Oh, and after the incident at the post office... So, today has been a constant battle to get her on the potty again. Here is a cute picture of her reading "daddy's magazine."

ARGH...

I can't believe that the Wings have slipped to 2ND! We are behind the Sharks now! THE SHARKS??? ugh. Ugh. UGH! At least I can happily say the the Av's are so far back that I don't even think about them anymore. WOO HOO!

I do think about them a bit because they will be playing the Wings in CO in March and I think that would be such a fun game to go to. Dave will be home so we would go together to support our teams! He can cheer for his team and me, for mine.

The only thing is, I'd be bit concerned about our health and safety while there. I would wear my Wings jersey to the game, of course, (I have to support my boys). But the Av's fans are a bit...angry, I imagine even more so since they are doing so terrible this season and we are going to smoke them in that game. I pretty sure, if I had to, I could take a bunch of whiny Av's fans. :)

Just for the record, I liked Clair de Lune before they made it one of Edwards favorites. That's why it's on my playlist.

Dismal

Our stocks have gone down so much recently! It's painful to watch. Owwww...

It's OK though. Dave and I agreed that we would consider that money gone, spent, whatever, as soon as we invested it. That way we wouldn't worry about it. This is me not worrying about it.

The only way they can go now, is up! Here's hoping. The funny thing is, we both thought that we had bought low! HA! It's actually quite funny when you think about it. I can't help but chuckle a bit.

Lizzy's birthday; Take 2

Today we went to my in laws in Provo for a little birthday cake! It was so good. Lizzy didn't eat much, (any at all, actually) I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that any more, but I always am! What kid turns down cake and ice cream? I have no idea.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZY!

Lizzy is 2 years old today!!! I can't believe how fast time is going by. She is such a big girl now. I remember the day before I was going to have her. I was freaking out! I was so nervous. I checked and re-checked everything making sure it was ready for Lizzy to come home. I couldn't sleep that night. We had to be at the hospital at 5:30am to get prepped for surgery. It all happened so fast! They wheeled me into the OR, gave me an epidural (it didn't even hurt!) put me on the table and started cutting. Then, there she was! She was so small. I missed her the second she was taken away from me. Dave got to take her to the nursery and help clean her up. I was jealous.

She weighed in at 7lbs 9oz. 19.5 inches long. Absolutely perfect.

I DID IT!!!

I changed the battery in my smoke detector today! WOO HOO!!! It's been beeping for over a month, maybe closer to 2 months! But I did it! All by myself. (well, I had a little help from youtube) It was kinda tricky. I didn't know how to get the battery case open because it's covered by an electical thing. But I figured it out. I know you are all thinking "it's so easy to change the batteries in those." But not in mine! I had never changed it before and the wires caught me off guard. We are good now though. No more chirping!
